Que ninguém lhe tenha ódio, nem o fira de modo algum. Ó Senhor, concede-me isto; e do mesmo modo, que para os que morreram haja libertação da morte, isto é, imortalidade.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames a core dharmic safeguard—freedom from hatred and harm—as a prerequisite for higher boons, and it elevates compassion into a prayer that culminates in the aspiration for amṛti (deathlessness/liberation).
Bhakti is expressed here as a purified heart: the devotee asks the Lord for a world without dveṣa (hatred) and hiṃsā (violence), showing that devotion is inseparable from kindness and non-injury.
The verse highlights applied dharma rather than a technical Vedanga rule: it functions as a conduct-directive (ācāra) supporting ritual purity and spiritual progress—avoidance of hatred and injury as daily discipline.
