Ele mantém o corpo puro por meio de alimento, bebida e afins apropriados; é dhármico e de mente purificada. Firme na observância de seus votos (vrata), é grato e teme o pecado (cuida de evitar o mal).
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It defines the inner and outer qualifications of a true practitioner: bodily purity, mental purity, firm observance of vows, gratitude, and vigilant avoidance of sin—showing that vrata is a complete ethical-spiritual discipline, not mere ritual.
By emphasizing purity, steadfast practice, and fear of wrongdoing, it outlines the character that sustains bhakti: a clean life and conscience that protect devotion from hypocrisy and negligence.
It aligns with śauca and sadācāra—practical disciplines supporting ritual efficacy—especially the regulated regimen (āhāra-vihāra) that undergirds vrata performance and daily dharmic conduct.
