The Greatness of Viṣṇu
Uttaṅka’s Hymn, Hari’s Manifestation, and the Boon of Bhakti
परमानन्दचिन्मात्रं वासुदेवं नतोऽस्म्यहम् । हृद्गुहानिलयं देवं योगिभिः परिसेवितम् ॥ १४ ॥
paramānandacinmātraṃ vāsudevaṃ nato'smyaham | hṛdguhānilayaṃ devaṃ yogibhiḥ parisevitam || 14 ||
Eu me prostro diante de Vāsudeva—Consciência pura e Bem-aventurança suprema—o Deva que habita a caverna do coração, venerado e continuamente servido pelos yogins.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It identifies Vāsudeva as the Supreme Reality—pure consciousness and bliss—accessible inwardly as the indwelling Lord in the heart, and affirmed by yogic realization.
Bhakti is expressed as humble surrender (“I bow”) to Vāsudeva, combined with inner remembrance of Him as the heart-dwelling Deity, a form of devotion honored by yogins.
While not a direct Vedāṅga instruction, it points to practical yogic discipline—dhyāna on the hṛd-guhā (inner seat of the Lord)—as the applied method supporting spiritual realization.
