Deve-se oferecer no fogo, somente com pāyasa (arroz-doce com leite), cento e oito oblações. Tendo mantido vigília durante a noite (jāgaraṇa), deve-se novamente preparar e realizar a adoração.
Sanatkumara (in dialogue instructing Narada)
Vrata: Traivikrama-vrata (contextual continuation)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: vira
It links outer ritual (108 fire-offerings with pāyasa) with inner discipline (night-long vigil), teaching that sustained devotion culminates in renewed worship at dawn.
By prescribing jāgaraṇa (wakeful remembrance) and repeating pūjā after the vigil, it emphasizes continuous, attentive worship rather than a one-time ritual act.
It reflects Kalpa/Vaidika ritual practice: counted āhutis (108), specified offering substance (pāyasa), and the sequencing of homa, jāgaraṇa, and subsequent pūjā.
