Dharmānukathana
Narration of Dharma
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in dialogue on Vaishnava dharma)
Vrata: none (general arcana act; embedded in vrata-style instruction)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that simple, reverent abhiṣeka—bathing Hari with flower- and fragrance-infused water—performed with bhakti becomes a direct means toward attaining Vishnu’s supreme state (vaiṣṇava-pada).
The result is linked not to complexity but to intention: when the act of worship (snāpana/abhisheka) is done ‘bhaktyā,’ it becomes spiritually transformative and leads toward Vishnu’s abode.
Ritual application (kalpa-prayoga) is implied: preparing puṣpodaka and gandhodaka for deity bathing reflects procedural worship-knowledge used in pūjā and vrata observances within Vaishnava dharma.
