Graha–Ketu–Utpāta Lakṣaṇas: Solar/Lunar Omens, Comets, Eclipses, and Calendar Rules
Narada (teaching in a Vedanga/astrological context, traditionally within dialogue with Sanatkumara)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It frames worldly events (leadership, agriculture, maritime power) as time-conditioned outcomes, encouraging dharmic governance aligned with cosmic order (ṛta) rather than ego-driven action.
Indirectly: by showing that results fluctuate with time and celestial conditions, it supports the bhakti outlook of relying on the Divine beyond changing worldly fortunes, while still acting responsibly.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: interpreting saṅkrānti (solar ingress) as a mundane-astrology indicator for rulers, harvest prosperity, and relative prominence/strength of luminaries (Sūrya and Chandra).
