Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It frames life’s ups and downs as karma-fruits read through Jyotiṣa: even when a benefic influence is strong, afflictions from other factors can still manifest, urging discernment, dharmic conduct, and remedial spiritual discipline.
While the verse is technical (Jyotiṣa), its implication supports Bhakti practice as a stabilizing refuge: when mixed planetary indications arise, devotion, prayer, and sattvic living are recommended in the Purāṇic worldview to meet outcomes with steadiness.
Jyotiṣa Vedāṅga: assessing daśā (planetary periods), evaluating graha dignity (friend/enemy, exaltation/debilitation), and recognizing a named configuration (Vargada) based on planets near kendras.
