आत्मनेपदिनौ धातू षूङ्दूङ्द्वावपि नारद । ओदितः पूङ्मुखाः सप्त आत्मनेदपिनो मताः ॥ ४९ ॥
ātmanepadinau dhātū ṣūṅdūṅdvāvapi nārada | oditaḥ pūṅmukhāḥ sapta ātmanedapino matāḥ || 49 ||
Ó Nārada, as duas raízes Ṣūṅ e Dūṅ são classificadas como ātmanepada (com terminações “para si”). Do mesmo modo, a raiz “O” e as sete que começam por “Pūṅ” também são tidas como ātmanepada.
