Vyākaraṇa-saṅgraha: Pada–Vibhakti–Kāraka–Lakāra–Samāsa
पंचमी स्यान्ङसिभ्यांभ्यो ह्यपादाने च कारके । यतोऽपैति समादत्ते अपदत्ते च यं यतः ॥ ७ ॥
paṃcamī syānṅasibhyāṃbhyo hyapādāne ca kārake | yato'paiti samādatte apadatte ca yaṃ yataḥ || 7 ||
O quinto caso (pañcamī) é usado com os afixos ṅasi, bhyām e bhyas para o kāraka chamado apādāna (ponto de separação). Aquilo de onde algo parte, de onde algo é tomado, e de onde algo é recebido, chama-se apādāna.
