Agora, ó melhor dos sábios, explicarei plenamente o Kalpa-grantha, o texto que serve de manual do procedimento ritual; pelo simples entendimento dele, o homem torna-se hábil na execução dos ritos.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It frames ritual practice (karma) as something that becomes effective and orderly through right knowledge (vijñāna), establishing that informed dharma is a foundation for higher spiritual progress.
While not explicitly naming bhakti, it prepares the ground for devotional practice by emphasizing disciplined, correctly understood sacred action—often performed as an offering to Vishnu—rather than mere mechanical ritual.
Kalpa is a core Vedāṅga domain concerned with ritual rules, procedures, and correct performance of karmas; the verse introduces a Kalpa-oriented guide so rites can be done with precision and competence.
