The Description of the Caturdaśī Vrata Observed throughout the Twelve Months

प्रदोषे तैलदीपांस्तु दीपयेद्यमतुष्टये । चतुष्पथे गृहाद्ब्राह्मप्रदेशे वा समाहितः ॥ ४७ ॥

pradoṣe tailadīpāṃstu dīpayedyamatuṣṭaye | catuṣpathe gṛhādbrāhmapradeśe vā samāhitaḥ || 47 ||

Ao pradoṣa (crepúsculo), devem-se acender lamparinas de óleo para agradar a Yama; com a mente recolhida, seja numa encruzilhada, seja junto à morada de um brâmane, fora de casa.
