The Narration of the Trayodaśī Vow Observed Throughout the Twelve Months

गृहद्वारे बहिर्दद्याद्यमो मे प्रीयतामिति । एवं कृते तु विप्रेंद्र यमपीडा न जायते ॥ ४७ ॥

gṛhadvāre bahirdadyādyamo me prīyatāmiti | evaṃ kṛte tu vipreṃdra yamapīḍā na jāyate || 47 ||

Deve-se colocar uma oferenda do lado de fora, junto à porta da casa, dizendo: “Que Yama se agrade de mim.” Feito assim, ó melhor dos brāhmaṇas, não surge o tormento de Yama.
