The Account of the Ekādaśī Vow Observed Throughout the Twelve Months
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames Daśamī as a preparatory vrata-day where restraint in food and conduct purifies the senses and supports steadiness in Vaiṣṇava devotion.
Bhakti is shown as practical discipline: a devotee honors Viṣṇu through regulated living—controlling taste and desire as part of devotional observance.
It applies calendrical discipline tied to tithi (lunar day) observance—practical ritual timing aligned with dharma rather than grammar/astronomy exposition.
