The Account of the Ekādaśī Vow Observed Throughout the Twelve Months
Narada
Vrata: Keśava-toṣaṇa-vrata (as described in context)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It states the twofold fruit of a Keśava-pleasing vrata: auspicious worldly benefits first, and ultimately the attainment of Viṣṇu’s supreme abode—linking dharmic practice with mokṣa.
Bhakti is expressed as “Keśava-toṣaṇa”—the aim is to please Viṣṇu through disciplined observance; the culmination is reaching Viṣṇu’s padam, showing devotion as both practice and final goal.
The verse emphasizes vrata-vidhi and phala-śruti (ritual observance and its stated results), a practical dharma-application rather than a specific Vedāṅga like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa.
