गत्यर्थाद् ऋषतेर् धातोर् नामनिर्वृत्तिकारणम् यस्मादेष स्वयंभूतस् तस्माच्च ऋषिता मता //

Transliteration

gatyarthād ṛṣater dhātor nāmanirvṛttikāraṇam yasmādeṣa svayaṃbhūtas tasmācca ṛṣitā matā //

Translation

Porque o nome deriva da raiz ‘ṛṣ’, usada no sentido de «ir/mover-se», isso é a causa da formação do termo. E como este é svayaṃbhū (nascido de si mesmo), por isso é considerado ṛṣitā, um Ṛṣi verdadeiro.
