ततः परशुहस्तं तमायान्त दैत्यपुङ्गवम् ।

आहत्य देवी बाणौघैरपातयत भूतले ॥

tataḥ paraśu-hastaṃ tam āyānta daitya-puṅgavam |

āhatya devī bāṇaughair apātayat bhūtale ||

Então, quando aquele primaz dos Daityas se aproximou com um machado na mão, a Deusa o atingiu com torrentes de flechas e o lançou por terra.
