Adhyaya 32 — Rules for Parvana Śrāddha: Foods that Please the Ancestors and Items to Avoid
दद्यात् श्राद्धं त्रयोदश्यां मघासु च यथाविधि । मधुसर्पिः समायुक्तं पायसं दक्षिणायने ॥
dadyāt śrāddhaṃ trayodaśyāṃ maghāsu ca yathāvidhi / madhusarpiḥ samāyuktaṃ pāyasaṃ dakṣiṇāyane
Deve-se realizar o śrāddha no décimo terceiro dia lunar, e também quando prevalecer a constelação Maghā, conforme a regra. No Dakṣiṇāyana (curso meridional), deve-se oferecer pāyasa (arroz-doce com leite) misturado com mel e ghee.
