Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
जड उवाच इति वाक्यं तयोः श्रुत्वा विमर्शमगमत्पिता ।
विमृश्य चाह तौ पुत्रौ नागराट् प्रहसन्निव ॥
jaḍa uvāca iti vākyaṁ tayoḥ śrutvā vimarśam agamat pitā | vimṛśya cāha tau putrau nāgarāṭ prahasann iva ||
Disse Jaḍa: Ao ouvir aquelas palavras dos dois, o pai deles caiu em reflexão; e, após ponderar, o rei dos Nāga falou a seus dois filhos, como que sorrindo.
