कड़क उवाच किं ते द्यूतेन राजेन्द्र बहुदोषेण मानद | देवने बहवो दोषास्तस्मात् तत् परिवर्जयेत्,कंक बोले--सबको मान देनेवाले महाराज! आपको जूएसे क्या लेना है? इसमें तो बहुत-से दोष हैं। जूआ खेलनेमें अनेक दोष होते हैं, इसलिये इसे त्याग देना चाहिये
kaḍaka uvāca kiṁ te dyūtena rājendra bahudoṣeṇa mānada | devane bahavo doṣās tasmāt tat parivarjayet ||
Kaḍaka disse: “Ó rei dos reis, dispensador de honra, que necessidade tens do jogo — ato carregado de muitos defeitos? No próprio jogar há inúmeros males; por isso deve ser abandonado.”
