Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon
एकच्छायमिवाकाशं बाणैक्षक्रे समन््ततः । नादृश्यत तदा द्रोणो नीहारेणेव संवृत:
ekacchāyam ivākāśaṃ bāṇaiś cakre samantataḥ | nādṛśyata tadā droṇo nīhāreṇeva saṃvṛtaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: Arjuna encheu o céu por todos os lados com uma chuva contínua de flechas, de tal modo que ele pareceu tornar-se uma única massa de sombra. Nesse véu ofuscante, Droṇa já não podia ser visto, como se estivesse envolto em névoa—imagem que ressalta como o domínio das armas pode, por um instante, eclipsar até um mestre venerado, enquanto a tensão ética entre destreza e reverência permanece sem solução.
