सह युध्यामहे पार्थमागतं युद्धदुर्मदम्‌ । सैन्यास्तिष्ठन्तु संनद्धा व्यूढानीका: प्रहारिण:,इसलिये हमारा विचार है कि हमलोग एक साथ संगठित होकर यहाँ आये हुए रणोन्मत्त अर्जुनके साथ युद्ध करें। हमारे सैनिक कवच बाँधकर खड़े रहें, सेनाका व्यूह बना लिया जाय और सब लोग प्रहार करनेके लिये उद्यत हो जायेँ

Transliteration

saha yudhyāmahe pārtham āgataṃ yuddha-durmadam | sainyās tiṣṭhantu saṃnaddhā vyūḍhānīkāḥ prahāriṇaḥ ||

Translation

Kripa disse: “Portanto, unamo-nos todos e lutemos contra Pārtha (Arjuna), que veio aqui como que embriagado pela fúria da batalha. Que as tropas permaneçam prontas, de armadura; que se forme o arranjo de combate (vyūha), e que todos estejam preparados para golpear.”
