Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas
अथैनमाक्षिप्य बलाद् गृहमध्ये वृकोदर: । धूनयामास वेगेन वायुश्नण्ड इव द्रुमम्
athainam ākṣipya balād gṛhamadhye vṛkodaraḥ | dhūnayāmāsa vegena vāyuśṇāṇḍa iva drumam ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Então Vṛkodara (Bhīma), agarrando-o e arremessando-o com força dentro do salão, sacudiu-o violentamente com rapidez—como uma rajada feroz que açoita e faz rodopiar uma árvore. A cena ressalta a execução célere da justiça contra o abuso de poder de Kīcaka e a proteção da honra de Draupadī, realizada com força decisiva, não com crueldade prolongada.
