Agastya–Lopāmudrā: Marriage, Austerity, and Conditions for Conjugal Union (लोमशकथितम्)

दिव्यं पवित्रकूटं च पवित्रं धरणीधरम्‌,वहाँ महर्षियोंसे सेवित, पावन शिखरोंवाला, दिव्य एवं पवित्र दूसरा पर्वत भी है जो अत्यन्त पुण्यदायक तीर्थ है। वहीं उत्तम ब्रह्मसरोवर है जहाँ भगवान्‌ अगस्त्यमुनि वैवस्वत यमसे मिलनेके लिये पधारे थे

vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca | divyaṃ pavitrakūṭaṃ ca pavitraṃ dharaṇīdharam | tatra maharṣibhiḥ sevitaṃ pāvanaśikharavantaṃ divyaṃ ca pavitraṃ dvitīyaṃ parvataṃ puṇyadāyakaṃ tīrtham | tatraiva uttamaṃ brahmasarovaraṃ yatra bhagavān agastyamuniḥ vaivasvataṃ yamam abhigantuṃ samupāgamat |

Vaiśaṃpāyana disse: Ali há também uma segunda montanha—divina, pura e verdadeiro “sustentáculo da terra”—chamada Pavitrakūṭa. Sábios veneráveis a frequentam; seus picos santificam, e o lugar é um tīrtha de mérito supremo. Ali se encontra ainda o excelente lago de Brahmā, onde o venerável Agastya outrora chegou para encontrar Vaivasvata Yama.
