Pulastya’s Instruction
गत्वा मधुवटीं चैव देव्यास्तीर्थे नर: शुचि: । तत्र स्नात्वार्चयित्वा च पितृन् देवांश्व॒ पूरुष:
gatvā madhuvaṭīṃ caiva devyās tīrthe naraḥ śuciḥ | tatra snātvārcayitvā ca pitṝn devāṃś ca pūruṣaḥ ||
Tendo ido a Madhuvaṭī, ao vau sagrado da Deusa, o homem puro deve banhar-se ali; e, após o banho, deve venerar devidamente tanto os Pitṛs (espíritos ancestrais) quanto os Devas.
