Pulastya’s Tīrtha Enumeration: Sarasvatī, Naimiṣa, Gayā, and Associated Phalaśruti

Chapter 82

Educational Q&A

Sincere remembrance of a revered tīrtha—performed with reverence at the daily junctions of dawn and dusk—can confer the same purificatory merit as physically bathing and performing ācamana at many pilgrimage sites, emphasizing inner devotion and disciplined practice.

A speaker named Ghūlastya addresses a Bharata prince and praises the sanctity of the three Puṣkaras, stating that one who remembers them with folded hands at morning and evening is regarded as having completed the purifying rites associated with all tīrthas.
