Pilgrimage Merits and Sacred Geography
उपस्थितं महाभागं पूजयामास भारत । भीष्मो धर्मभृतां श्रेष्ठो विधिदृष्टेन कर्मणा
upasthitaṁ mahābhāgaṁ pūjayāmāsa bhārata | bhīṣmo dharmabhṛtāṁ śreṣṭho vidhidṛṣṭena karmaṇā ||
Nārada disse: Ó descendente de Bharata, Bhīṣma—o primeiro entre os sustentadores do dharma—honrou o ilustre hóspede que havia chegado, realizando os ritos exatamente como prescrito. A cena ressalta que a verdadeira grandeza se revela na reverência disciplinada e na fiel observância da conduta devida para com os dignos.
