Damayantī’s Lament, Serpent-Seizure, Rescue by the Hunter, and the Curse
तैः समेत्य विनिश्चित्य सो<नुज्ञातो महीपते । ययौ मिथुनमारोप्य विदर्भास्तेन वाहिना,राजन्! उनसे मिलकर इस विषयपर भलीभाँति विचार करके उन मन्त्रियोंकी आज्ञा ले सारथि वार्ष्णेयने दोनों बालकोंको रथपर बैठाकर विदर्भ देशको प्रस्थान किया
taiḥ sametya viniścitya so 'nujñāto mahīpate | yayau mithunam āropya vidarbhās tena vāhinā ||
Ó rei, depois de se encontrar com eles e deliberar cuidadosamente sobre o assunto, obteve o seu consentimento. Então o cocheiro Vārṣṇeya colocou as duas crianças no carro e partiu com aquele veículo rumo à terra de Vidarbha—agindo com a devida autorização e conselho prudente, e não por força impetuosa.
