Arjuna’s journey to Indrakīla and encounter with Indra
गात्रसंस्पर्शसम्बद्धां नयम्बकेण सहानघ । पार्थस्य देवदेवेन शूणु सम्यक् समागमम्,अनघ! देवदेव महादेवजीके साथ अर्जुनके शरीरका जो स्पर्श हुआ था, उससे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाली यह कथा है। तुम उन दोनोंके मिलनका यह वृत्तान्त भलीभाँति सुनो
gātrasaṁsparśasambaddhāṁ nayambakeṇa sahānagha | pārthasya devadevena śṛṇu samyak samāgamam, anagha ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó irrepreensível, escuta com atenção este relato—como Pārtha (Arjuna) veio a encontrar-se com Mahādeva, o Deus dos deuses. Esta narrativa está ligada ao contato corporal que ocorreu entre Arjuna e o Senhor de Três Olhos; ouve bem, em detalhe, o acontecimento de seu encontro.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
