The verse conveys the epic ideal of tejas—inner excellence made visible as radiance. Physical auspicious marks (golden hue, conch-like neck, shining ornaments) symbolize authority, virtue, and a presence that uplifts and overawes, reminding readers that true greatness is recognized through both conduct and the aura of disciplined power.
Vaiśaṃpāyana is describing a majestic figure’s appearance: his complexion, heroic build, auspicious features, and glittering ornaments. The description culminates in a metaphor of blazing light, emphasizing that his splendor seems to illuminate the entire horizon.
