Ajñātavāsa-saṅkalpaḥ — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Resolve and Dhaumya’s Exempla on Concealment
The verse highlights disciplined action guided by wise counsel: one should reflect on instruction and act with attention to proper timing (kāla), aligning intention and conduct rather than acting impulsively.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes an ascetic maiden who, remembering Nārada’s counsel, begins to compute the appropriate moment—muhūrta, kṣaṇa, velā, and the day—preparing to proceed in a manner consistent with her vows and the advised course.
