Adhyāya 290: Kuntī’s Mantra-Parīkṣā and the Appearance of Sūrya (कुन्ती–सूर्यसंवादः)

स राममुद्दिश्य शरैस्ततो दत्तवरैस्तदा

sa rāmam uddiśya śarais tato dattavarais tadā

Então, tomando Rāma por alvo, ele disparou flechas—naquele momento fortalecidas pelas dádivas que recebera—sinal de uma escalada do conflito, como que sancionada pelo divino e, ainda assim, carregada de peso moral.
