Adhyāya 290: Kuntī’s Mantra-Parīkṣā and the Appearance of Sūrya (कुन्ती–सूर्यसंवादः)
अन्तर्हितं विदित्वा तं बहुमायं च राक्षसम्
antarhitaṃ viditvā taṃ bahumāyaṃ ca rākṣasam
Ao perceber que ele se ocultara da vista e reconhecê-lo como um rākṣasa versado em muitas artes de ilusão, Mārkaṇḍeya enquadra o momento como exigindo vigilância e discernimento: quando o mal se esconde por meio do engano, é preciso primeiro atravessar o véu antes de agir segundo o dharma.
