करभारुणपाण्डूनां हरीणां युद्धशालिनाम् । कोटीशतसहस््रेण लड़कामभ्यपपत् तदा,तत्पश्चात् उन्होंने हथेलीके समान श्वेत और लाल रंगके युद्धकुशल वानरोंकी दस खरब सेनाके साथ लंकामें प्रवेश किया
karabhāruṇa-pāṇḍūnāṃ harīṇāṃ yuddha-śālinām | koṭi-śata-sahasreṇa laṅkām abhyapatat tadā ||
Disse Mārkaṇḍeya: “Então ele avançou sobre Laṅkā com uma hoste imensa de macacos hábeis na guerra—uns pálidos, outros de vermelho acastanhado—em número de centenas de milhares de koṭis.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical idea that strength becomes meaningful when organized and directed toward a righteous end: disciplined allies acting together in support of dharma can overcome even formidable strongholds.
Mārkaṇḍeya describes the advance on Laṅkā: a vast, war-capable host of monkeys—of pale and tawny hues—moves swiftly to enter/assail the city, marking a decisive escalation toward confrontation.
