Sāvitrī-Upākhyāna: Dyumatsena’s Restoration and the Return to Kāmyaka
Conclusion
The verse underscores responsible leadership and ethical cognition: reliable messengers should report clearly, and a leader should respond with reasoned inference (anumāna) rather than impulsive reaction—balancing hope with discernment.
A wise leader among the vānaras reports to Rāma, and Rāma, hearing the report, infers that Sītā (Maithilī) has indeed been seen—strengthening his resolve within the unfolding Rāma narrative recounted by Mārkaṇḍeya.
