Sāvitrī’s Dialogue with Yama and the Restoration of Satyavān
sīte vakṣyāmi te kiñcid viśvāsaṃ kuru me sakhi | bhayaṃ tvaṃ tyaja vāmoru śṛṇu cedaṃ vaco mama ||
The verse teaches that fear is eased through trustworthy guidance: one should set aside anxiety, place confidence in a reliable well-wisher, and listen attentively to counsel before acting.
Mārkaṇḍeya addresses Sītā directly in a reassuring tone, asking her to trust him, abandon fear, and hear what he is about to say—introducing a consoling or instructive message within the larger discourse.
