Sāvitrī’s Dialogue with Yama and the Restoration of Satyavān
ह्ृतदारो महासत्त्वो रामो दशरथात्मज: । तुल्यारिमित्रतां प्राप्त: सुग्रीवेण धनुर्धर:,“दशरथनन्दन श्रीराम महान् शक्तिशाली वीर हैं। उनकी पत्नीका किसीने अपहरण कर लिया है। उसकी खोजके लिये उन्होंने सुग्रीवसे मित्रता की है और दोनोंने एक-दूसरेके शत्रुको शत्रु तथा मित्रको मित्र मान लिया है। श्रीरामचन्द्रजी बड़े धनुर्धर हैं
hṛtadāro mahāsattvo rāmo daśarathātmajaḥ | tulyārimitratāṁ prāptaḥ sugrīveṇa dhanurdharaḥ ||
Disse Mārkaṇḍeya: “Rāma, filho de Daśaratha — magnânimo e poderoso — teve sua esposa raptada. Para encontrá-la, esse mestre arqueiro firmou amizade com Sugrīva, e ambos passaram a partilhar a mesma posição diante de aliados e inimigos, tomando por amigos os amigos um do outro e por inimigos os inimigos um do outro.”
