Sāvitrī’s Trirātra-Vrata and Departure with Satyavān (सावित्रीव्रतनिश्चयः सहगमनं च)
स तावुवाच तेजस्वी सहितौ रामलक्ष्मणौ | गृध्रराजो5स्मि भद्र वां सखा दशरथस्य वै,तब तेजस्वी जटायुने साथ आये हुए श्रीराम और लक्ष्मण दोनों भाइयोंसे कहा--/आप दोनोंका भला हो। मैं राजा दशरथका मित्र गृध्रराज जटायु हूँ!
sa tāv uvāca tejasvī sahitau rāma-lakṣmaṇau | gṛdhrarājo 'smi bhadra vāṃ sakhā daśarathasya vai ||
Então o radiante Jatāyu dirigiu-se a Rāma e a Lakṣmaṇa, que estavam juntos: “Bênçãos sobre vós dois. Eu sou Jatāyu, rei dos abutres, e de fato amigo do rei Daśaratha.”
