विभ्राजमानां वपुषा बिश्रतीं रूपमुत्तमम् | भ्राजयन्तीं वनोद्देशं नीलाभ्रमिव विद्युतम्,वह परम सुन्दर रूप धारण किये अपनी अनुपम कान्तिसे उदभासित हो रही थी और जैसे विद्युत् अपनी प्रभासे नीले मेघसमूहको प्रकाशित करती है, उसी प्रकार वह सुन्दरी अपनी अड्भच्छटासे उस वनप्रान्तको सब ओरसे देदीप्यमान कर रही थी

vibhrājamānāṃ vapuṣā biśratīṃ rūpam uttamam |
bhrājayantīṃ vanoddeśaṃ nīlābhram iva vidyutam ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Ela, portando uma forma de beleza suprema, resplandecia com o brilho do próprio corpo. Como o relâmpago que ilumina um maciço de nuvens azul-escuras, aquela mulher formosa fazia cintilar toda a região da floresta em todas as direções com seu esplendor—imagem que ressalta como a excelência interior pode tornar luminoso até o ermo.
