रामस्य पम्पातीरगमनम्, सुग्रीवसख्यं, वालिवधः, सीतारक्षणवृत्तान्तश्च

स्मृत्वानुभावं राजर्षेरम्बरीषस्य धीमत: । बिभेमि सुतरां विप्रा हरिपादाश्रयाज्जनात्
smṛtvānubhāvaṃ rājarṣer ambarīṣasya dhīmataḥ | bibhemi sutarāṃ viprā haripādāśrayāj janāt ||
Disse Durvāsā: “Ao recordar o poderoso vigor espiritual do sábio rei‑ṛṣi Ambarīṣa, temo ainda mais, ó brāhmaṇas, aqueles que se refugiaram aos pés de Hari. Os devotos abrigados aos pés do Senhor não devem ser tratados com leviandade; sua bhakti torna‑se uma força moral e espiritual capaz de trazer rápidas consequências sobre o arrogante.”
दुर्वाया उवाच
Those who take refuge in Hari’s feet are protected by the moral-spiritual force of devotion; therefore one should approach devotees with humility and avoid harming them, since arrogance toward the righteous invites grave consequences.
Durvāsā, remembering how the devotee-king Ambarīṣa was powerfully protected, expresses fear of devotees who rely on Hari; this frames his anxiety about offending such people and the danger of retaliation or divine retribution.
