Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó melhor dos reis, então ele enviou numerosos mensageiros de passo veloz para levar convites—convocando tanto os governantes da terra quanto os brāhmaṇas.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores dharmic protocol in public life: a ruler (or host) should honor both temporal authority (kings) and spiritual-intellectual authority (Brāhmaṇas) through proper, respectful invitation and arrangement, maintaining social harmony and legitimacy.
After a preceding development, the central figure in the episode sends swift messengers to invite a broad assembly—specifically other rulers and Brāhmaṇas—indicating preparation for a formal gathering such as a council, ceremony, or major public event.
