Report of Draupadī’s Abduction and the Pāṇḍavas’ Pursuit
व्याभाषमाणाश्षान्योन्यं न मे जीवन् विमोक्ष्यसे । सर्वे शस्त्रास्त्रमोक्षेण पौरुषे समवस्थिता:
vyābhāṣamāṇāś cānyonyaṃ na me jīvan vimokṣyase | sarve śastrāstramokṣeṇa pauruṣe samavasthitāḥ ||
Enquanto bradavam uns contra os outros, ele declarou: «Não escaparás de mim com vida». Com esse voto, todos se mantiveram firmes em sua resolução varonil, prontos para soltar armas e projéteis—e a fala cedeu lugar à sombria ética do combate, onde orgulho e sobrevivência se apostam na força.
