Educational Q&A

Even amid conflict, dharma includes recognizing merit and showing respect to worthy opponents or allies. The laying aside of armor and mutual honoring symbolize restraint, reconciliation, and ethical acknowledgment of valor.

After meeting, the warriors remove their armor; the Gandharvas and the Pāṇḍavas become united, and Citraseṇa and Arjuna exchange honors—marking a transition from confrontation to cooperation.
