शिष्टाचारे मन: कृत्वा प्रतिष्ठाप्पय च सर्वश: । यामयं लभते वृत्ति सा न शक््या हाुतो5न्यथा,मनुष्य शिष्ट पुरुषोंके उपर्युक्त आचारमें मनको सब प्रकारसे स्थापित करके जिस उत्तम स्थितिको प्राप्त करता है उसकी उपलब्धि और किसी प्रकारसे नहीं हो सकती
śiṣṭācāre manaḥ kṛtvā pratiṣṭhāpya ca sarvaśaḥ | yāmayaṃ labhate vṛttiṃ sā na śakyā hato 'nyathā ||
Disse o caçador: “Quando uma pessoa fixa a mente por inteiro na conduta dos cultos e disciplinados (os śiṣṭas) e a estabelece ali de todas as maneiras, o nobre modo de viver e a firmeza interior que alcança não podem ser obtidos por nenhum outro meio.”
व्याध उवाच
True moral steadiness and a noble way of life are best attained by anchoring one’s mind in śiṣṭācāra—learning from and conforming to the proven conduct of exemplary people—rather than seeking alternative shortcuts.
In the Vyādha’s instruction (the hunter-teacher episode), he emphasizes practical dharma: the seeker should model the mind and behavior on the established ethical norms embodied by the śiṣṭas, because that is the reliable path to inner and outer rectitude.
