ब्राह्मणानुयात्रा—शौनकोपदेशः

Brāhmaṇas Follow into Exile and Śaunaka’s Instruction

सहन्ति च महद्‌ दु:खं घ्नन्ति चैवार्थकारणात्‌ । अर्था दु:खं परित्यक्तुं पालिताश्वैव शत्रव:

sahanti ca mahad duḥkhaṃ ghnanti caivārthakāraṇāt | arthā duḥkhaṃ parityaktuṃ pālitāś caiva śatravaḥ ||

Eles suportam grande sofrimento, e por causa da riqueza chegam até a matar. Abandonar o dinheiro também é doloroso; e, quando é guardado e mantido, ele se comporta como um inimigo.
