क्रूर: कौरव्य मृदवे मृदुः क्रूरे च कौरव । साधुश्नासाधवे साधु: साधवे नाप्लुयात्‌ कथम्‌

Transliteration

krūraḥ kauravya mṛdave mṛduḥ krūre ca kaurava | sādhuś ca asādhave sādhuḥ sādhave nāpluyāt katham ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó filho da linhagem dos Kurus, sê duro para com o duro e gentil para com o gentil. Que o homem bom seja bom até mesmo para com o perverso; mas como poderia quem é bom deixar de ser bom para com o bom?”
