प्रजास्यति महाराज तदा संक्षेप्स्यते युगम् । अकालवर्षी पर्जन्यो भविष्यति गते युगे,महाराज! जब फूलमें फूल, फलमें फल लगने लगेगा, उस समय युगका संहार होगा। युगान्तकालमें मेघ असमयमें ही वर्षा करेंगे
prajāsyati mahārāja tadā saṅkṣepsyate yugam | akālavarṣī parjanyo bhaviṣyati gate yuge ||
Mārkaṇḍeya disse: “Ó grande rei, quando tais sinais contra a natureza surgirem, a era se contrairá rumo ao seu fim. No declínio do yuga, as nuvens portadoras de chuva derramarão fora de estação.”
