वृक्षानुत्पाटपामास तरसा वै बभज्ज च पृथिव्याश्व प्रदेशान् वै नादयंस्तु वनानि च
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
vr̥kṣān utpāṭayām āsa tarasā vai babhañja ca |
pr̥thivyāś ca pradēśān vai nādayaṃs tu vanāni ca ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: Com ímpeto impetuoso, Bhīma arrancava árvores e as despedaçava. Com seu brado fazia ressoar as paragens daquela terra bravia e toda a floresta — exibindo força como a de elefantes senhoriais em musth e valor de leão ou tigre, capaz de conter de uma vez o ímpeto de muitos homens.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
