Kailāsa-darśana, Badarī-vāsa, and Sarasvatī–Dvaitavana Transition (कैलासदर्शन–बदरीवास–सरस्वतीद्वैतवनगमनम्)
व्यामोहयं च तान् सर्वान् रथमार्गैश्चरन् रणे तेडन्योन्यमभिसम्मूढा: पातयन्ति सम दानवान्,राजन्! उस समय मैंने विद्या-बलका आश्रय लेकर महती बाण-वर्षके द्वारा उनके अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंकी भारी बौछारको रोका और युद्ध-भूमिमें रथके विभिन्न पैंतरे बदलकर विचरते हुए उन सबको मोहमें डाल दिया। वे ऐसे किंकर्तव्यविमूढ हो रहे थे कि आपसमें ही लड़कर एक-दूसरे दानवोंको धराशायी करने लगे
arjuna uvāca | vyāmohayaṃś ca tān sarvān rathamārgaiś caran raṇe te ’nyonyam abhisammūḍhāḥ pātayanti sma dānavān, rājan |
Arjuna disse: «Ó Rei, movendo-me no campo de batalha e variando os rumos do meu carro, lancei a todos na confusão. Aturdidos e incapazes de discernir o caminho devido, feriram-se uns aos outros; assim caíram aqueles Dānavas, abatidos pelo próprio combate mútuo. Nesse momento, apoiando-me na força do meu saber marcial, contive a pesada chuva de suas armas com uma grande chuva de flechas.»
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights how disciplined skill and clear tactical intelligence can neutralize brute force: when perception is clouded by moha (confusion), opponents may destroy themselves through misdirected aggression. Ethically, it underscores the kṣatriya ideal of winning through mastery and control rather than uncontrolled violence.
Arjuna reports to a king that, by rapidly changing his chariot’s lines of movement in battle, he confused the Dānavas. In their disorientation they fought among themselves and fell, while Arjuna simultaneously countered their weapon-barrage with a powerful rain of arrows.
