Lomaśa–Yudhiṣṭhira Dialogue
इह देवै: सहेन्द्रैश्ष॒ प्रजापतिभिरेव च । इष्ट बहुविधेर्यज्ञैर्महद्धिभभूरिदक्षिणै:,यहीं इन्द्रसहित देवताओंने और प्रजापतियोंने भी प्रचुर दक्षिणासे युक्त अनेक प्रकारके बड़े-बड़े यज्ञोंद्वारा भगवानूका यजन किया है
iha devaiḥ sahendraiś ca prajāpātibhir eva ca | iṣṭaṃ bahuvidhair yajñair mahadbhir bhūridakṣiṇaiḥ ||
Aqui, até mesmo os deuses conduzidos por Indra, juntamente com os Prajāpatis, adoraram o Senhor realizando muitos tipos de grandes sacrifícios, ricamente dotados de abundantes dádivas rituais (dakṣiṇā). A afirmação ressalta que a verdadeira reverência se mostra por uma ação ritual disciplinada, generosa e devidamente ordenada, sustentada até pelos seres mais elevados.
लोगश उवाच
The verse highlights that reverence for the divine is expressed through dharmic action—well-performed sacrifices accompanied by generosity (dakṣiṇā). Even exalted beings model this disciplined, giving-oriented worship.
The speaker points to precedent: in this very realm, the gods with Indra and the Prajāpatis have performed many grand sacrifices with abundant gifts to worship the Lord, establishing an authoritative example for proper religious conduct.
