Kirmīra-rākṣasa-saṃgamaḥ (Encounter and Slaying of Kirmīra) | किर्मीरेण सह भीमसेनसमागमः
शतं शतसहस्त्राणि सुवर्णस्य जनार्दन | एकैकस्मिंस्तदा यज्ञे परिपूर्णानि भागश:,जनार्दन! उस समय आपने प्रत्येक यज्ञमें पृथक्ू-पृथक् एक-एक करोड़ स्वर्णमुद्राएँ दक्षिणाके रूपमें दीं
śataṃ śata-sahasrāṇi suvarṇasya janārdana | ekaika-smin tadā yajñe paripūrṇāni bhāgaśaḥ ||
Arjuna disse: “Ó Janārdana, havia centenas e centenas de milhares de medidas de ouro. Naquele tempo, em cada sacrifício, as porções destinadas foram plenamente completadas—distribuídas segundo a devida parte.”
अजुन उवाच
The verse underscores dharmic giving: wealth used in yajña should be distributed in complete, properly allotted shares (bhāgaśaḥ), emphasizing generosity governed by order, fairness, and ritual responsibility rather than mere display.
Arjuna addresses Janārdana (Kṛṣṇa), recalling or describing a context of great sacrificial rites where immense quantities of gold were present and, in each yajña, the distributions were made fully and portion-wise according to prescribed shares.
